The story behind Meridiana
Meridiana is founded on the belief that support products should enhance independence without compromising the beauty of the home.
The idea emerged after Norbert observed his grandmother’s experience with traditional home support products. While functional, many looked clinical and out of place in the home she loved. As someone who took great pride in her surroundings, these products often made her feel self-conscious when guests visited, diminishing the sense of pride she had always taken in her home.
“Support should help you feel at home — not remind you that you need it.”
The problem wasn’t the need for support. It was the assumption that support had to look institutional.
Meridiana exists to challenge that assumption.
We create thoughtfully designed support products that help people live more comfortably, confidently and independently without compromising on the look and feel of their home. Because growing older shouldn’t mean surrounding yourself with products that feel clinical or out of place.
